I'm at a busy time in life right now, so my one post a week goal is failing utterly. I hope to make up for it, but right now I must concentrate on school and graduating.
One project to possibly be coming in the spotlight soon is the bench I've painted for a community project. It will be going up for auction at the end of summer, so I've gotta get some pictures of it before it's gone.
A second project just completed today was a group project at an after-school art program was a twelve-piece chess set and character trio themed from the Alice in Wonderland sequel, Through the Looking Glass. I designed and decorated many of the pieces but I focused mainly on the character trio which included Alice, the Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts as a playing card. The twelve chess set pieces included a red an black version of Queens, Kings, Bishops, Knights, Rooks, and Pawns. They were all done in papier mache, painted and then bedazzled in glitter. Haha. Quite the feat.
Well, look forward to that later. I just really needed an update for now.

lol =/= lol
I believe that internet chatspeak has progressed to the point where "lol" no longer means "laughing out loud." I rearly use chatspeak anymore in chatrooms or IM, but the few things I do use include:
lol (laughing out loud)
wb (welcome back, for when someone is disconnected but soon returns)
brb (be right back, when you're away from your desk but with come back soon)
nvm (nevermind)
ttyl (talk to you later, used when leaving)
rofl (rolling on floor laughing, when something is *really* funny)
omg (oh my god)
wtf (what the fuck)
ftw (for the win!)
Well, in any case, I think that lol has been reduced to a chuckle. That's about the most I'll get out of it. It's also become a filler when there is nothing to say in response but you want to let the person know you laughed/chuckled/smiled/at least thought it was funny.
That's about all I have to say. Just thought I'd mark this occasion in interwebz history.
